Meet The Super Claims Assist Team
Michael Garrahy
Super Claims Assist CEO Michael Garrahy brings over 35 years of experience in law and legal claims to the team.
After speaking with thousands of clients who needed help with TPD claims over the past 8 years, Micheal discovered the need for a firm which specialised in helping clients on the TPD journey. Super Claims Assist was founded on the idea of helping the thousands of people around Australia that have been missing out on their entitlements.
“Every day our team celebrates helping deserving people recover $50,000 – $100,000 insurance entitlements that they did not know they had. Our clients have done it super tough, so we owe it to them to really lean in, to do everything possible to help. We help thousands every year! Our team gets so excited, our clients get so excited. It’s not like work when you’re helping people every day”
Nic Garrahy

Nic has worked in the industry for over 5 years, starting in regional QLD, NSW and SA, helping clients claim TPD insurance five to ten years after their initial injuries.
“What I enjoy most about my role is helping Australians who never even knew about the insurance money hidden in their superfund! It can be tough financially being off work through no fault of their own. Being able to help them find and claim the money they have deserved for years brings a smile to my face every time.”

“I lead an amazing empathetic team who genuinely care for our clients. We help to change people’s lives by providing them financial support in a difficult period of their lives. This comes from the TPD insurance they had paid for, but they did not know they had!”

Melissa
My role is working with vulnerable clients to help them access life changing financial entitlements they often aren’t aware is theirs to begin with! I love coming into work each day with such an engaging, empathetic, and intelligent group of colleagues.
I genuinely feel like together, we’re making a difference to thousands of struggling Aussies.
“I can regularly sense the relief I hear in a client’s whole demeanour when I have prepared their file and they know we have done everything we can to help them get their best outcome.”
Dylan Nuttall
Every interaction with our clients is a unique opportunity to not only make them feel acknowledged, but to also stand by their side as genuine supporters. Getting the opportunity to not only connect with hundreds of Australians each day, but extend them a helping hand as a vocal advocate is a deeply humbling experience.
“There are people out there who are truly willing to help you, and Super Claims Assist are just some of those people!”
Ren Pienaar
My role at Super Claims Assist is to connect with people who’ve been dealt a bad hand and get them the justice they deserve. I love that I’m able to connect with great people every day and get them through a somewhat tricky process with ease.
“The most rewarding parts of my role has been seeing the beautiful reviews for the personal service I’ve delivered for my clients. I love seeing how much of a difference I made for them on the call!”
Max Williamson
Being a part of Super Claims Assist, where empathy is one of our largest values allows me to feel a tremendous amount of pride in the work I do.
“I enjoy knowing that my daily efforts contribute to enhancing someone’s life”
Xavier Allen
The sheer impact that we’re able to make on the lives of our clients makes this one of the most satisfying roles I’ve ever worked in.
“I love getting the opportunity to assist thousands of struggling Australians through a somewhat confusing process, it makes coming in to work each day a blessing.”
Caelun Richardson-Lester
Caelun joined the Super Claims Assist Team in 2023 as a client services and email marketing specialist.
“I enjoy our shared goal and mission of helping people access lost insurance. Building mutual respect and interacting professionally with clients is paramount in this role. When I joined SCA I finally felt like I had a job that I aligned with morally and it felt good coming into work each day to help our clients.”
Timothy Hodgkinson
Timothy began working at Super Claims Assist in early 2024 in our new client support team.
“I go home each day feeling good that I’ve helped someone. I pride myself on having integrity and being honest with our clients. Being clear, to the point and accurate is very important to me. Even if we can’t help, if I can provide someone with useful information that they may be able to pass on to someone in need, that can have huge outcomes.”
Jack Martin
Jack joined the Super Claims Assist team in March of 2024. He works primarily in our new client support team.
“I really enjoy meeting new people over the phone! If we can help them access the support they need to make that claim, that’s even better! I enjoy the sense that I’m not coming to work with colleagues but working with friends. We get to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients and that’s a great feeling.
In this job, it’s important to be able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and have that empathy. Sometimes you are the only person who’s been willing to listen to someone’s story and make them feel heard. That’s what makes working at SCA so worthwhile for me.”
Kirstie Petrie
Kirstie began working at Super Claims Assist in 2024. She brought with her years of experience in customer service and business management. She currently works as part of our new client support team.
“I find it rewarding to be useful to our clients and to work in service of them. Our office is full of people who are a little bit quirky, and we’re all helping other people who are a little bit quirky too.
The need for integrity in the super sector has been my biggest takeaway from working at SCA. There is a way that things should be. In this job, you get to right the wrongs and give people the correct help. Super funds let people draw on their retirement savings when they know they could be claiming insurance. This is wrong. If I can assist one person a day it helps me sleep better at night.”
Samih Close
Samih joined the Super Claims Assist team in early 2024. His speciality is customer service, and he is a member of our new client support team.
“I love hearing people’s stories and what they have to share. Everyone has a story to be heard. Trust is a big thing in this job. To build that trust with someone new is very exciting. I make new friends every day. I love putting a smile on a client’s face over a video call and sharing a laugh with them.”
Will Egan
Will began working at Super Claims Assist in 2023. He brought with him years of experience in the hospitality industry.
“I get a great feeling from helping other young people and people who have worked in hospo. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for a long time so I can understand what they’ve been through. Helping people find money they didn’t know they had has been one of the most fulfilling things I’ve accomplished in my career. I accomplish this by staying open and honest with my clients and having genuine empathy.”
Harry Lang
Harry began working with Super Claims Assist in 2024. He is a member of our new client support team.
“We can help people in need of financial assistance recover entitled funds. That was the biggest draw for me when I joined SCA. There’s true satisfaction in being able to provide people with hope. Integrity has been the most important value for me during my time here. I try not to maintain integrity for others but for myself. There is a lot of dishonesty when it comes to super funds in this country. It is a privilege to provide our clients with the correct information. We let our clients know that help is possible.”
Chiara Steadman
Chiara became a member of the Super Claims Assist team in early 2024 and she works in new client support.
“Speaking to new people every day and seeing how we can help them is what initially drew me to working at SCA. The more I work here the more I understand that what our clients need most is empathy. They deserve someone willing to listen to them and show compassion for what they’re going through without judgment.
The best feeling I have while working here is when I’m able to confirm insurance for a deserving client. Helping people who would otherwise be unable to claim because of disability or circumstance.”
Sam Nesteroff
Sam joined Super Claims Assist in 2024. He brings many years of experience in client services and leadership to the new client support team.
“So many people have been left behind by a system that is designed to be needlessly complex. So many of our clients deserve a second chance. I feel that through the work we do they can get one. We do this by having integrity, being honest and showing them genuine empathy.
I once had a client who was dealing with a severe mental health crisis. They told me that it was the help and compassion that I showed them that gave them the courage to keep fighting another day. They told me that I gave them a reason not to give up. There is no more important work that I could be doing than this.”
James Lister
James began working at Super Claims Assist in 2022. He currently works as our Senior Communications Strategist and as part of the new client support team.
“What I enjoy most about working in this space is the ability to change others’ lives substantially. No other job I have had has given me an opportunity to talk to people who are down on their luck in a desperate situation, understand the difficulties they are going through and say, “we can help you.” I believe the barriers in our life that we put up against people can be broken down with a bit of empathy and once we do, we are all just people who are looking for a bit of help when we are scared and not sure what to do next.
I was able to talk to a lady in her late 40s, she escaped a domestic abuse situation, she was made homeless multiple times, and she was contemplating suicide but was holding on because of her young son. We were able to look at the options available to her, and with the assistance provided, give her a moment to breathe and take care of herself.”
Rubi
Rubi joined Super Claims Assist team in early 2024 and she works in new client support.
“I enjoy connecting with clients and witnessing the transformative impact of our support on their lives. Our supportive and genuine work environment fosters empathy, allowing us to truly connect with and help our clients through their toughest times. The most rewarding moments are when clients realise that our work can be life changing for both their health and financial future.”
